Happy Thanksgiving All!
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and it often referred to turkey day which is unfortunate. Tomorrow is the day to reflect and be thankful for the blessings that we have. The people in our lives. The wonderful country we live in. And for me, a great job in an outstanding industry.
First of all, I am so thankful for my family. Those of you that read this on a regular basis know that my “in home” family changed this year when my son and his family moved in with me. That has been a blessing. It gives me a chance to really know my grandchildren. Then there is my daughter who I am very proud of. She recently became a “traveling” nurse and is now experiencing her first “assignment.” My other two granddaughters are wonderful ladies, with one of them giving me a “passel” of great-grandchildren to cherish too, if only they were closer. My parents and wife are gone, but my sister, brother-in-law, and brother are often on my mind and on my phone. How many of us take our family for granted…..if you are one…..please change.
I have worked in the mortgage industry for over 20 years now and enjoyed most of it. Yes, there have been difficult times, but we always came back from them. Now, I am part of a company that really cares about their employees and my manager is one of the greatest I have ever known. I have to say that Denise Cuddeback Montgomery is a shining example of what it means to want to help people and actually do it. My loan processor, Selena, is so caring and competent that she makes me look good. I could continue and name all of the people at Alpine Mortgage Planning and not run into one that is the exception, just exceptional. And, my clients are the best. I love being able to help someone into their first home or move up into their dream home. It is a real honor to be chosen to help them in their journey.
I also love my country. I served in the military for 10 years and can think of nothing that I would not do to honor my country. Are there things wrong? Sure, but there is much more right. We live in one of the greatest counties in the world, and I think that Oregon is one of the greatest states in my country. If you haven’t been here, come for a visit. See if you agree. Check out my heading on this blog. That is the Three Sisters and only a small part of our outstanding vistas. We have ocean, mountain, desert, valley, trees, cropland, cities, country, rainforest and wilderness areas.
Well, that is it for my sentiment for today. I wish each of you a Happy and Wonderful Thanksgiving. Take care and enjoy!
