Loan Modification Companies Come Under Fire

Author: I have expressed my opinion before as to what I think about loan modification companies. I have also published instructions in what to do to avoid foreclosure, that doesn’t include calling a loan modification company and paying them money up front to do the same things you should be able to do yourself.
Now, apparently, 178 loan modification companies have come under fire by California Attorney General Jerry Brown for a variety of questionable practices. I subscribe to a service called Think Big, Work Small (TBWS) and you can hear what they had to say about it here. Now, just a a warning, these two guys need to cut back on the caffeine, but they make a great point about loan mods.

People are getting all kinds of wrong information about loan modifications and their lenders are not always helping them. I hear all of the stories as I am moving the alarm system from the house they are moving out of and into their new house. Thanks for posting this!
